Pete Buck has had a generalized civil practice since graduating from the University of Washington Law School in 1973. Much of his unchallenged reputation builds on the founding and leadership of one of Seattle’s most respected real estate practices, Buck & Gordon.

Pete achieved considerable success for clients in real estate transactions, in a myriad of land use and environmental entitlement processes, and in related trial and appellate procedures. He successfully represented clients in some of Seattle’s most interesting and complex cases.

Today he offers counseling  and representation in a variety of areas. As a solo practitioner he has few conflicts of interest which allows for a high degree of confidentiality.

He has achieved all the honors: “Super Lawyer,” “Best Lawyer,” “Top Lawyer,” etc.

Pete’s reputation is based on the consistent success he brings to his clients. He is knowledgeable, creative, persistent and, when necessary, aggressive.  Most importantly he walks the talk of being client-focused. He respects and works within a client’s budget.

 Settlement and mediation services are available in the land use and real estate areas. By representing project proponents, citizen groups and municipal agencies Pete has developed a capacity for acting as a deal maker\problem solver when diverse interests want to settle disputes short of litigation. The same is true in real estate where Pete represents tenants and landlords and buyers and sellers.

Although best know for his land related cases, over the years Pete has successfully handled matters in many other substantive areas. He has had the good fortune of associating with at least 75 other lawyers or law firms, often with expertise to supplement his own. His contribution has been one of team building, creativity and aggressive advocacy. There is no matter that he would dismiss out of hand, if a potential client or law firm were truly in need of a better solution than seemed at hand.
