Pete working with Martin Luther King, 1965. In retrospect, a bit full of himself.

The Buck Law Group has been repurposed. It exclusively provides pro-bono assistance through legal clinics and in community outreach with a developing capability in the immigration area. It will also be providing support to more experienced immigration attorneys in the South Sound.

Pete grew up in a family that valued civil liberties, his father being involved with the ACLU in the early 50’s. At 19 Pete joined the Civil Rights movement in the Deep South with an MLK organizing effort. Throughout his law practice a specialty has been standing up to bullies. He will now be working almost full time to protect civil liberties.

For forty years Pete had a generalized civil practice since graduating from the University of Washington Law School (Order of Coif) in 1973. In addition to success for his clients, he enjoyed a management and organizational reputation built on his success in the founding and leadership of one of Seattle’s most respected environmental and real estate practices: Buck & Gordon.

He has achieved all the honors: “Super Lawyer,” “Best Lawyer,” “Top Lawyer,” “Chambers Top Tier,” etc.

In moving forward Pete is fortunate to have successfully handled numerous administrative hearings, trials and appellate court appeals in a wide variety of substantive areas. Immigration law is new, but is something that can be mastered.

Pete’s reputation is based on the consistent success he brings to his clients. He is knowledgeable, creative, persistent and, when necessary, aggressive.  Most importantly he walks the talk of being client-focused. He respects and works within a client’s budget. This is particularly easy now, with pro-bono work, since he will have unlimited budgets.
